Signature Flatbreads produces a range of award-winning, high quality authentic flatbreads and morning goods. It has bakeries situated in Dunstable (UK) and Nashik (India) employing over 1,000 employees. It supplies branded and own label products to supermarkets, QSR’s, Food manufacturers and other food service establishments.
 
4. LOCATION OF ROLE: Dunstable, Bedfordshire
 
5. ROLE SUMMARY

The Hygiene Operative will successfully assure and maintain high levels of hygiene standards, ensuring all areas of the factory are always maintained to the highest standards for compliance against the Signature Flatbreads Quality Management System, and work closely with the Production and Technical teams to ensure high standards are maintained to customer specifications.
Day shift and night shift vacancies are available. Hours of work are 7-00 am to 7-00 pm (day shift) or 7-00 pm to 7-00 am (night shift), shift patterns are either Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday. There is plenty of potential for personal growth and promotion within our business.
You will be provided will appropriate PPE and full training to complete your role.

6. REPORTING AND KEY RELATIONSHIPS

The role reports to the site Hygiene Manager with other key contacts being

Shift Managers
Technical Managers
Factory Managers

7. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

To work as part of a team to ensure that the highest standards of visual and microbiological hygiene are always maintained across all areas of the site.
Work to a cleaning schedule
Working with chemicals and other cleaning materials
To achieve a “right first time” clean, following set work instructions and safety protocols
To complete tasks with the minimum supervision.
Assist team leader / supervisor / manager where required 
 
8. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Previous hygiene experience is desirable but not essential
Training will be provided and for the right person 
 
9. PERSON SPECIFICATION

Have a proactive approach to Food Safety
Be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment and working in a factory environment with cleaning chemicals.
Be enthusiastic and conscientious
Understand or be willing to learn the principles and application of Food Safety
